Why, this March is Mad!

General Knowledge / General Knowledge

Yep, everyone has the fever. Like Brian said, the Sprint Center in downtown Kansas City just played host to the Big 12 Tournament, and it was crazy on Saturday night. Predictably and deservedly, Kansas won the conference tournament for the fourth time in five years, leaving the much-improved but always-a-bridesmaid Kansas State in their wake. But fret not, Wildcat fans. A two seed in the NCAA Tourney ain’t bad. The brackets are up on the web, so go at it. I’m going to throw it out there right now, at least for one of my brackets. Kansas, Kentucky, Nova, Kansas State. Final Four. Blammo.

I’ve talked to a few of you out there on the phone and via email, and it sounds like you’re revving up for iPad delivery already. In case you missed it, the new Apple device went up for pre-sale at Apple.com on Friday and should be shipping out by the boat load in just a few weeks. So hooray for you if you’re on the list.

Now, something that I’ve been meaning to bring up since Keith posted his creed of the balds not too long ago. There’s a sub-culture that some might consider the opposite of the balds that I have to show my profound support of. We bearded folk have been adding to our numbers over the last few years, and it’s about time we give ourselves a pat on the back for strengthening our community. We have a long and storied history of influential men in our ranks. Just take a look:

But there’s one man that you and I know that balances these two cultures with the grace and finesse of a bald man with a beard. Because that’s what he literally is. Everyone’s favorite sales manager, Mick Myers.

Bearded, bald, beautiful.

Sure, go ahead. Applaud the man. He’s making two worlds collide.

That’s all for this week, friends. Remember, the iPad is coming, but we’re here for your MacBooks, iPods and iPhones until it arrives.
