Well, the season is finally here. And by season I mean a spring/summer-type environment that’s not 40° and dripping near-freezing rain like it has been in Kansas City for the better part of the last six weeks. But this past Mother’s Day weekend (did you all send your moms flowers?) we finally broke free of the dreary climatic oppression and had a few beautifully warm and sunny days. Everyone just seems to be in a better mood. My wife’s one request on Mother’s Day was that we get out of the house and go shopping, which really entailed my wife having time to shop herself while the little one and I spent about two hours walking around outside and throwing pennies in the fountains on Kansas City’s Country Club Plaza. For those of you who may not be familiar, there are a few things Kansas City is known for. Barbecue, jazz, an awful baseball team (clutching second place like their lives depend on it!) and fountains. In fact, there are more fountains in KC than any other city in the world, aside from Rome. And my daughter, who is a very big fan of getting wet beyond the boundaries of decency, just discovered this. So here’s where she wants to go all the time now:
Yep. No chance of staying dry. But who can worry when the weather is this fantastic? All right, back to those MacBook and iPad repairs- we’ve been having one of the busiest weeks in company history, and I don’t want to keep you all waiting. Oh look, a thunder cloud. Hooray.
