More mapping options for iOS

Who doesn't like more options, especially if they're free? According to a recent article in MacRumors, Nokia has announced the launch of its new HERE Maps app, which extends Nokia's mapping service to iOS. Not only is the app free to download, but it offers an offline mode, transit and walking directions to help you navigate to where you need to be.

Nokia's HERE Maps app also allows users to select from a variety of different map views, including a general map, live traffic, public transport line and satellite views. You can also save certain map areas so you can explore a city without worrying about data coverage.

“People want great maps, and with HERE we can bring together Nokia's location offering to deliver people a better way to explore, discover and share their world,” said Nokia President and CEO Stephen Elop. “Additionally, with HERE we can extend our 20 years of location expertise to new devices and operating systems that reach beyond Nokia.”

Even if you have the best navigation available, accidents can still occur. While new mapping options may keep you from splashing into a lake or falling into a quarry, iResQ's iPhone repair services can help if your phone gets wet or hits the sidewalk too hard.
