Well, it’s official. The Chiefs of the future are looking to be the Patriots of the past. Although there are some interesting allegations regarding Belichick doing some insider trading to his pal Scot Pioli, we here in KC couldn’t be happier to have the first promising playoff-caliber team in almost a decade. A new franchise QB, a young and gutsy head coach, a third overall draft pick, and $50 million under the cap? Awesome. And let’s not forget that the perpetual second-string Matt Cassel wouldn’t be such a big deal had the Chief’s D-line not taken Brady out in the first game of the last season. Fate is not without a sense of irony. Ok, I’m bandying the drama about a little too freely, but this is epic. Lions and Raiders fans, I’m sure you can empathize.
