Problems with the iPhone 6S

iPhone /

The iPhone 6s just came out, but people are already having some issues with it. The following are some of the common problems found with the latest iPhone.

Common iPhone 6S Problems

Slide to Update Gets Stuck

One of the first problems identified was the reluctance of the Slide to Update feature. When someone tries to slide to update, it won’t do anything. It gets stuck. This usually happens when it is trying to setup or update.

The easiest way to fix it is to unplug the device from iTunes. You can then install the update over-the-air.

If you are seeing this issue when you’re trying to set up the phone for first time use, go ahead and unplug the iPhone from iTunes and then plugging it back in for it. When this doesn’t work, you may want to restore the phone from a backup (luckily, you have one).

Touch Screen Won’t Respond

Some people have reported that the screen will stop responding to gestures. This means getting anything done, including turning the screen off, is impossible. What an aggravation, but the solution is pretty simple.

Try to hold down the Home button and the power button until the phone resets. When the iPhone 6s turns back on, it should work.

If it doesn’t work, try it again. If it doesn’t work again, try it a third time. There are have been some iPhone 6s users who had to reset their phones multiple times before the gesture functionality worked.

Poor Photo Quality in Dim Lit Areas

iPhones have always taken better photos in well-lit areas. However, we’re not always in those situations. You can improve the quality of your photos when it’s not as bright as you would like it by turning off the Live Photos feature. It’s a new feature that seems to produce better photos, but not in low light environments. Turning this setting off can produce less grainy photos.

Wi-Fi Problems

Some users have reporting inconsistent Wi-Fi signals and slow speeds. This can be frustrating when the iPhone is one of the best ways to surf the web.

The best to fix Wi-Fi problems is to resent the Wi-Fi connection. You can go to Settings, General, Reset, and then Reset Network Settings to do this. If that doesn’t work, try to forget the network and then reconnect it. You can do that by going to Settings, Wi-Fi, select your connection and then forget the network. Once you connect it again, it should work.
