- Didn't you used to be iPodResQ?
Yes, and in sprit we still are! - What is iResQ?
iResQ is another 24-Hour Repair Service from ResQ Systems, LLC, the same people that brought you the award winning 24-Hour iPodResQ, PowerBookResQ and MacBookResQ repair services.
- Where is iResQ?
iResQ is in the Kansas City Area, in the middle of the country to serve our domestic clients with supurb efficiency. We are not just a few people working out of a basement, rather we have a 15,000 square foot facility designed to handle the exceptional number of iPod repair orders that we receive daily.
- How much does it cost for iPod repair?
That depends on what parts you need for your iPod. If your battery is just not holding the charge that it used to, we'll send you one of our iPod iBoxes overnight for you to place your iPod into, then we'll pick up your iPod and have a courier send it via overnight service to our iResQ Repair Center where we will carefully install a brand new high capacity battery and then return your iPod to you again via overnight service. The fee for this service is just $54.00.
If your trusty iPod is no longer working correctly and needs a repair, the iResQ fee is $39.00. This includes the iPod iBox, the 3-way overnight shipping as described above, and the initial diagnostic of the problem. Once we have your iPod in hand, we can give you an exact and accurate quote of what the charge for the repair will be. After all, you don't want to have to pay for a replacement screen or hard drive if all that is bad is a data cable. All repairs are then completed by the next day and returned to you overnight. In the event that we do not have your part in stock (this can happen from time-to-time on obscure parts), we will notify you immediately of the lead time.
- What do you mean when you say "next day" or 24-hour? Does this include weekends and holidays?
When we say "next day", "overnight", etc. we are referring to business days. Generally business days are Monday through Friday. We are closed on the weekends and major holidays. So, if you place an overnight order on a Friday, you will not receive your item until Monday. We do offer Saturday delivery in most cases for an additional fee.
Most of our shipping services are sent out for Overnight Delivery. This means that your order will be marked to arrive the next business day. In certain rural areas there is a possibility that your order may arrive within 2 business days however we will mark it for next day delivery when appropriate. We apologize, but we do not have any control over rural area delays.
- I don't want to use your $39 service, can I just mail my iPod in to you?
Sure. And once the repair is complete, we just charge $15 to return your iPod to you.
- Do I need to be at home to receive my iBox?
Actually, no. Our couriers will make an attempt to reach you to deliver your iBox. However if we send your empty iBox to your house and you are not there, it will be left on your doorstep or at the front office if you live in an apartment complex. Generally if you have the iBox delivered to a business, it will be handed to your receiving department. Please note that when we send your iPod back to you after being repaired we will require a signature upon receipt. This is for both your and our protection so iPods are NOT left on doorsteps! If you CANNOT be available to sign for the repaired iPod, just let us know and we'll have your unit held at your local courier pickup station and you can retrieve it at your convenience!
- How do I know what additional charges I will incur to get my iPod repaired?
Since we want to give you the most accurate and inexpensive estimate that we can, we need to personally diagnose what is wrong with your iPod before we can help you with a repair estimate. For example, we can't tell if your screen problem is due to a $99 LCD or a $10 cable unless we take your iPod apart.
- Can I get a new battery when you repair my iPod?
You bet! Plus, we'll even give you a super-special discount on the battery replacement, since we're already working on your iPod. Just ask your iResQ Technician for this special when contacted about your iPod repair.
- Which iPod Models do you repair?
We repair all models, from the original 5GB model to the iPod Video model. WE DO NOT REPAIR THE IPOD SHUFFLE.
- Do you really repair THOUSANDS of iPods per month?
Of course, we wouldn't say it if it wasn't true! How do we do it? Well it's very easy: we train and use highly skilled technicians in conjunction with our proprietary shipping and receiving process, barcode each unit as they arrive, and process each repair through our custom database with supurb efficiency. Without our internal systems and processes in place, we'd be sunk! We can help you cover any problem, and this is one reason why iResQ is the #1 Independent iPod Repair Center in the world!
- Do I need to back up my music files before sending my iPod to iResQ?
If you are able to back up your music files, then you definitely should do so. iResQ is not responsible for lost music files.
- Should I include items like earphones, chargers and cables with my iPod?
Generally no. However, if you are experiencing a charging problem or a problem that you think is related to another item, please include it.
- Once you diagnose the problem with my iPod, am I obligated to pay for the repair?
No. If you decide not to have your iPod repaired, we'll send it back to you in the iBox. There will be no charges other than the orignal shipping charge. We also buy iPods to salvage parts from, so if you don't want to invest in the repair costs, it's possible that we may be interested in purchasing your defective iPod. Ask the Technician who contacts you for additional details.
- How long do I have to decide if I want my iPod repaired?
Once we receive your iPod, we will contact you with a repair quote and you will have up to 90 days to approve or decline your repair. iPods left at our facility for more than 90 days will be deemed abandonded and automatically recycled. Please remember that recycled iPods CANNOT be sent back to you!
- Can I trade my iPod for a newer model?
We are constantly purchasing iPods, working or not! Just fill out our Purchase Form and we'll get back to you with our current purchase price.
- How do you guys get those iPods opened up without damaging them?
It's a secret, but we can let you know that it does not involve Elves.
- How long is the warranty on the items you repair?
Our standard warranty for items repaired on your iPod is 90 days.
